Facebook invests more than € 220 million in virtual reality – Journal of Business – Portugal

Facebook will invest over 250 million dollars (220 million euros) in virtual reality applications, according to the Guardian. The announcement was made by the leader of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, in the conference Oculus Connect 3, this Thursday, in the United States.

The same newspaper said that the social network has already invested precisely $ 250 million in content development of virtual reality. The company intends that its future vision, which is to connect people all over the world through virtual experiences, will become a reality quickly.

“We [all] to build the software and experiments that follow the way our minds work and how we process the world”, suggested Zuckerberg, quoted by the English newspaper.

The leader of the social network presented during the conference, a prototype of the wireless version of the Oculus Rift, a device that does not need cables to connect to a computer.
