Barack Obama: US will send humans to Mars during the 2030s – Express

The american President, Barack Obama, stated this Tuesday, in an article published by CNN, that the United States is in a “good way” to send humans to Mars during the 2030s, with the co-operation between Government and private.

In 2010, a few months after having assumed the office of President of the United States, Barack Obama had already stated that the country should send humans on a round-trip journey to Mars at the beginning of the decade of 2030.

Now, in an article with the title “the United States will give a big leap to Mars,” Barack Obama says he has held since the child the same feeling of “wonder” with space exploration, which, in their opinion, represents an “essential part” of the character of north america.

“innovation and ingenuity, pushing the limits of what is possible and do it before you all”, refers to Obama in the article.

According to Barack Obama, to reach Mars will require ‘continuous cooperation between the Government and the private”.

“In the next two years, private companies will send first astronauts to the International Space Station,” said the President of the United States.

The head of State also revealed that the United States is working with commercial partners to “build new habitats to maintain and carry astronauts on long missions to deep space”.

“That missions will show how humans can live away from the Earth — something they will need for the big trip to Mars,” he adds in the article.
