VIDEO: Hyundai i30 tests over 260cv – AutoPortal

Hyundai announced it will participate in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, between 26 and 29 May, with the prototype of the future i30 2.0 Turbo testing, integrated into the development plan of a new version to be launched under the sub-brand N.

for now still were not disclosed details mechanics, but it is expected that the 2.0 Turbo engine overcomes the 260cv in order to challenge models such as the Honda Civic Type R, Renault Megane RS and Volkswagen Golf GTi, among others.

Hyundai reveals only that is a 40 model percent different compared to conventional i30, which will, in addition to the engine, with a specific tuning of suspension, shock absorbers, and other upgrades, including wheels, in terms of direction, bumpers, and rely on specific components for the competition.

a video accompanying the release of the Korean brand shows the engine to be tested on the dynamometer in Namyang (Korea), with the reading of the computer display 263 hp and 308 Nm torque at 6000 rpm.
