Nintendo negotiates entry in cinema – Mad Money

Nintendo, the Japanese producer of video games, is negotiating with several producers entering the film market, said Monday the president of the brand, Tatsumi Kimishima, told the local newspaper Asahi.

“the Legend of Zelda” or an animated film about the Super Mario game will be among the first bets, said Kimishima, who wants to “enhance the popularity” of the characters enjoy abroad.

The focus on Nintendo in the film market should serve to offset the drop in sales either hardware want new games last year which registered a decline in profits of 60% in 2015. it is also a way to invest the gains from the sale of shares, for example, obtained through participation in baseball team Seattle Mariners.
