Acer assist game developer in the device creation to virtual reality – Tudocelular.com

The companies will join to design, manufacture, promote and sell the device as part of a planned partnership. While Starbreeze already have some help from others (Toshiba is one of its partners), the new alliance should give a better chance of becoming a major player in the VR market.

The news was disclosed by Bo Klint Andersson, CEO of Starbreeze.

 

We are working with a clear roadmap for our VR strategy from day one, and now we are about to perform one of the first major collaborations we set out to achieve. The future for StarVR is already set and is extremely exciting.


 

Starbreeze exhibited StarVR with a virtual reality experience at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June 2015, the acquisition of the French company Infinite Eye, which brought StarVR HMD technology along with a team of engineering. After this release, the VR experience was brought to consumers.

In January 2016, the Starbreeze announced VR centers dedicated to provide customers with a diving experiences “premium” in virtual reality. The company opened its first movie experience in VR, called “Cockatoo Spritz” directed by Stephane Barbato. The production was shown at Cannes, during the first week of the festival.
