A year ago Google Photos was being released by the search giant in order to be a safe, simple and efficient for storing photos and videos in the cloud. With unlimited space – for those who do not store the photo in the original quality – Google Photos automatically organizes your images, assign tags, makes collages, animations and provides a quick and easy way to share your photos and create albums <. br />

After 12 months of activity, there are more than 200 million people using the Google Photos per month. They’ve already made more than 1.6 billion animations, collages and movies, among other things. In total, all users have stored 13.7 petabytes of photos. This number is so huge, that a person looking at each picture for a second would take about 424 years to see all.

The application has already awarded two trillion tags (or labels) to photos , with 24 billion of them are … selfies. By far the most used tag in the service, demonstrating that the kind of photo that users most like to take and save are the self-portraits.

In celebration of the first anniversary of Google Photos, see some tips you may find useful:

1. To see a list of shortcut keys that run on Google Photos, press “Shift +?”;

2. Refine your search by searching for more than one keyword at a time, such as “Mother and father” or “mother and park,” for example;

3. Save your photos in the standard “high quality” instead of “original quality” to win even more storage space service;

4. Search for photos using your favorite emoji;

5. To find the recently uploaded photos, just go to the search bar, click “Show more” and then click “Recently Added”;

6. Create a shared album with your family or friends. So whenever someone adds a new picture, everyone will be notified;

7. Now you can edit the date and time of your photos, to leave your records even more organized.
