CEO of Ubisoft believes that consoles are the days – SAPO Tek

44 years after the Magnavox Odyssey, the first gaming console in history, Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, believe that we are not far from the end of the console.

During a conference for analysts and investors company, the French defended the idea that there will be “another generation of consoles” before they reach the market new game systems. That anticipated future Guillemot predicts that the streaming will be defined as the mother technology of the gaming industry.

However, despite announcing the end of the consoles as we know, the CEO of Ubisoft believes the manufacturers should not accommodate this condition and will eventually emerge “with a new hardware to take advantage of new possibilities” that this technology can bring.

the opinion of Guillemot is generating some controversy among players more devout, but several personalities of the gaming industry have proven consistent with the theory that the consoles will no longer be what they are. Peter Moore, head of EA operations, supported this idea recently, “the games will now be played using the streaming, so we do not need hardware to mediate the game and the player,” he said. For the head of EA, the consoles will become “chips instead of boxes.”

To confirm this future, which although designed is not clear when will the consoles may be embedded in all screens, just us pay a monthly or perhaps a lifetime access to a game streaming platform, the style of Netflix.

currently, Sony’s console now lets you stream games directly to PC and Mac. the technology, which was introduced in the gaming universe of Sony through PS Vita, arrived this year to PlayStation 4.
