The month of April was the seventh followed to beat global temperature records, according to a map of NASA, the US space agency.

The data show that last month broke April the record for the largest margin ever recorded, and the third consecutive month in which this record was broken.

Using the average temperature analyzed by nASA in the period between 1951 and 1980 April 2016 had a temperature of January.

February and March recorded higher temperatures than the average of the period, while in April broke the previous record set in 2010, by 0,24º Celsius.

“the unfortunate circumstance that we have now is the sum of an intense El Niño phenomenon that was exacerbated by global warming,” said Christina Figueres, executive secretary of the UN Convention on the Climate change

“All these records in temperatures and the implications -. as the record number of fires and drought in India – remind us that we can not do nothing but accelerate plans with solutions . We have no option but to accelerate that agenda, “he said.

Several regions of the Northern Hemisphere, including the US state of Alaska, had very high temperatures in April, a pattern that was repeated in months previous
