Cibernauta translates bible for emoji – Digital Journal

One of the most translated books of history now has a new version: in emoji. An anonymous user, who prefers to be known only by the name of ðŸ~Ž (emoji smiling with sunglasses), created a version of the Bible that replaces by emoji maximum possible words.

Call (appropriately) of “Bible Emoji ‘, the translation takes as a basis the King James Bible, first published in the seventeenth century in England and the book more published in English today. In addition to emoji also translate the scriptures and using abbreviations common Internet slang. Is subtitled “Scripture 4 millennials” (something like “scriptures p / Millenials’).

In an interview with the Guardian, ðŸ~Ž said the project took about six months. To accomplish it, we used a program that he himself created, linking 80 emoji 200 matching words. “I thought if avançássemos 100 years in the future, there would be a Bible version emoji ‘ðŸ~Ž said,” so I thought it would be fun to try to create it. “

After finishing the first version design, ðŸ~Ž began publishing on Twitter text extracts “as a kind of public review” by using the @BibleEmoji account.

Initially, ðŸ~Ž intended to launch “Emoji Bible ‘for all possible platforms. However, we found problems with some of them “like Amazon for example that does not support emoji.” For now, it is available on iTunes for $ 2.99.

Although the Guardian, ðŸ~Ž declined to say if he was Catholic or not. However, stated that ‘believes 💪mente [emoji muscled arm flexed] in the message of Jesus “
