Cooking with vegetable oil can cause cancer – TVI24

Fries (REUTERS) If you think fry foods with vegetable oil is healthier than using butter, think again. According to a new research, cook with sunflower or corn oil can cause cancer.

According to the The Telegraph , the scientists found that heat vegetable oil cause the release of high concentrations of chemicals called aldehydes that cause cancer, heart disease and dementia.

The researchers also said that “a typical meal of fish and chips”, prepared in vegetable oil, contains 100 to 200 times more aldehydes of which is the limit set by the World Health Organization.

According to the investigation, it is preferable to use oil, coconut oil, butter, lard or even for cooking food.

The results run counter to the findings made by the University of Oxford, which released a survey in which the fatty acids in vegetable oils arise related to various health problems.

“If you are too consumed vegetable oil sunflower or corn, the brain will absorb too much omega 6, which effectively excludes the absorption omega 3. I believe that the lack of omega 3 is a factor that contributes greatly to the development of mental problems and other problems such as dyslexia, “said John Stein, who led the study.
