In a research note obtained by Apple Insider on Tuesday, the KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, whose predictions were accurate in past, he said he expects of the next iPhone has 4 inches to be functionally similar to an iPhone 5s, the latest model iPhone with a 4-inch screen.
Kuo says the demand for a smaller machine Apple still exists, and the company plans to capitalize on this demand next year. Mass production will probably start sometime in the first half of 2016, suggesting a release of potential output over the next year in the lineup “iPhone 7″.
Not much is known about the updated unit 4 inches, although Kuo said he hopes a metal casing around the usual sensors, circuits and processors. As with low-end offerings in the past, Apple will likely include an Apple A9 processor, which is a state of the component when the unit debut.
Unfortunately, Kuo predicts that Apple will not put the Force Touch sensor in an effort to differentiate the 4-inch version of its flagship line of iPhones. The Force Touch and 3D Touch debuted as a new feature in iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, in September, which grants users access to new user interface controls, such as pop-up previews, fast action and more.
From the details of Kuo, it seems that Apple can sell the 4-inch iPhone as a low model “budget”, meaning that the target audience does not include customers looking for the latest technology in a format smaller. The last attempt at the low end of the company was the iPhone 5c. Finally, Hon Hai, better known as Foxconn, may end up being the exclusive iPhone provider yet unnamed. Kuo predicts 20 million to 30 million unit sales in 2016
