Google announced that users of operating systems Windows XP and Windows Vista and OS X versions 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8 for Mac will no longer be able to use Chrome as hitherto, the company said.

From April 2016, Chrome will continue to function in the indicated platforms but cease to exist updates and fixes security situations. Google adheres well, which had determined earlier this year that it would continue to support the XP during 2015.

According to the company, XP, Vista and the three versions of OS X will pass failing updates on security and be vulnerable to viruses and software malicious. The fact that Microsoft and Apple have actively abandoned support for the operating systems in question, meant that Google had also taken the decision.

“If you still have one of these platforms without support, encourage you to move to a newer operating system to ensure that it continues to receive the latest versions and features of Chrome, “writes Google.
