The E-Fan – an electric plane – the Airbus group, yesterday crossed the English Channel in 38 minutes , marking possibly the beginning of a new era in aviation.
The small plane E-fan, with only two seats and 600 kilos in weight can reach a top speed of 220 kilometers per hour. Interestingly this aircraft is that it does not release any carbon emissions

With a short 38 minutes trip, the small E-Fan off from Lydd, in the county of Kent, in England, to land shortly after in Caias, France since beginning a new era in aviation.
“Despite being alone in the cabin, were many people to fly with me today in this great success, “said the pilot Didier Esteyne, adding that the result is due to the ‘great effort and passion’ team who labored on goal.”
Also Jean Botti, chief technical team of Airbus, underlined the success of this operation, saying it will allow the company ‘start series production’, which will lead to the development of electric safe aircraft.
In account the high cost of fuel, it is expected that the aviation industry needs to undergo a major transformation. The arrival of electric airplanes may therefore not be as far as that. This ‘baptism’ Airbus will do just that.
