Seven districts of the mainland and the archipelago of Madeira are now under yellow warning due to warm weather forecasting, it informed the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
According to IPMA, the districts of Vila Real, Bragança, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Évora and Beja are under yellow warning, the third most serious of a four-range, between 02: 00 and 18:00 today, due to the forecast of continuing high values of maximum temperature.
Also, the archipelago of Madeira are now under yellow warning due to warm weather, between 02:00 today and until 18:00 on Friday.
The yellow warning is issued by IPMA whenever there is a risk for certain activities that depend on the weather.
IPMA provides for today on the continent slightly cloudy sky and clean, with periods of increased cloudiness in the west coast and in the afternoon in the interior north and center and wind generally poor western quadrant, blowing northwest of moderate on the west coast, especially in the afternoon.
In the highlands, is forecast to wind generally poor western quadrant and moderate northern quadrant until the early morning and from late afternoon.
There are also plans haze or morning fog in some places of the northern and central regions, especially on the coast.
In Madeira anticipated periods of cloudy weather and northeast of moderate wind, running north, and weak in the southern parts.
In Lisbon temperatures will range between 18 and 31 degrees Celsius in Porto between 17 and 23, in Vila Real between 18 and 34, in Bragança between 19 and 36, in Guard between 18 and 34 in Castelo Branco between 19 and 39, in Portalegre between 22 and 38, in Évora and Beja between 16 and 39, in Faro between 23 and 31 in Coimbra between 16 and 28 in Santarem between 17:31 and Funchal between 21 and 27
