Searches the ongoing Lena Group (in update) – is underway, from 13 hours on Tuesday, a major operation of the Judicial Police (PJ) and prosecutors in Greater Lisbon within research at the Lena Group.
Under the operation led by PJ, are being carried out about twenty searches and are already confirmed two detainees, whose identities are not yet known.
One of those arrested is a Lena group manager.
“The research focuses on the activities carried out by Portuguese and Spanish companies, who obtained fraudulently, large amounts of subsidies”, can be read in the statement of PJ. In total, the fraud scheme have damaged the state by 15 million euros.
According to advance information by SIC, the operation is not related to Operation Marquis, which led to the arrest of former Prime Minister José Socrates.
