Monitors child drowned in Oeiras with “extensive experience … – Digital Journal



 
 The Council of Oeiras assured today that the mentors responsible for the group of children that was inserted the boy who drowned died this afternoon after a boating activity at the local marina had “extensive experience”.

A eight-year child died this afternoon drowned in Marina de Oeiras after a sailing activity, promoted by the municipality, told Lusa the Maritime Police of Lisbon.

In a press conference, Rafael Salgueiro, president of Oeiras Viva, a company that manages the Marina, clarified that “the children had already completed the activity and were driving up to the exit.”

The activities of the chamber will remain and the monitors involved in the case of today are having psychological counseling as well as the boy’s family who died.

Maritime police Lisbon is investigating child death causes them. The case will then be presented to prosecutors
