In a statement, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) realizes that the minister “ordered the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against nine elements of the PSP and the filing of the records relative to other five elements of PSP.”
“Mrs. Minister of Internal Affairs determined also the continuation of the case as investigation to identify other police officers involved in the facts of the case and the application of the precautionary measure of preventive suspension for a period of ninety days to three PSP elements who were brought disciplinary process, “reads the statement.
These measures follow on from the introduction of a screening process by Anabela Rodrigues minister, to determine the which occurred on February 5, 2015, from the Cova da Moura, in Amadora and involving various elements of the PSP, and later in the episode occurred in the Police Intervention and Surveillance Squadron in Alfragide.
