Google responds after stealing photos – Kioskea

After theft celebrity photos , a lawyer accuses Google not to have removed the links to the photos published. Google responds.
 

After the theft of intimate photos of celebrities, starlets the victims were mobilized to defend and give complaint against the culprits. On 1 October, the lawyer sent a letter to the directors of Google, including Larry Page, Eric Schmidt, Sergey Brin and David Drummond. He accused Google of not having quickly removed the links to the pages that show the stolen photos. Marty Singer said Google “facilitated and enabled the continuation of these illegal acts with full knowledge of the facts”, and take advantage of the “victimization of women.” Behavior that he considers as “despicable and deplorable”, with the threat of a suit and $ 100 million in damages.
 

As expected, the Google responded quickly the charges. A spokesman said that Google “excluded tens of thousands of photos, in the hours that followed the receipt of requests.” The group also “closed hundreds of accounts. The Internet is used for many good things and steal private photos not part of them.”
 

While the attorney Marty Singer is accused of not respecting the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Google argues that the pictures are deleted when they do not respect political or invade the privacy and nudity. The same goes for the time required to make these cuts. Contrary to what the lawyer says, Google says that it only takes a few hours. To conclude, Google said that the links are removed from their search results when people with copyright, the ask.
