From the October 29, Wednesday of next week, the Nexus smartphone 6 will be able to be purchased in pre-reservation model in the Portuguese version of Google Play. The 32GB model will cost 649 euros, while the 64GB version will have a tag of 699 euros.
The information conveyed by Google itself, adds that the new smartphone will only be available in the traditional purchasing model “in mid-November.”
The newest member of the Nexus line was produced in partnership with Motorola and ends up having as major element of the high price. Normally Google had a smartphone mid-high range at a competitive price, something that helped popularize the Nexus line.
The Nexus 5, it is still possible to buy the Portuguese store, is currently on sale for 349 euros in the 16GB version.
The question is whether the high price of Nexus 6 will have a significant impact on their sales.
The new Google phone has a screen of 5.96 inches with a resolution of 2.560×1.440 pixels, 3GB RAM, 805 Snapdragon quad-core processor to 2.7GHz, Adreno 420 graphics unit , photo sensor of 13 megapixels and support for 4G networks.
In addition to the Nexus 6, Google already has the Portuguese version of the Google Nexus Play 9 tablet developed in partnership with HTC. 8.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2.048×1.563 pixels, 16 or 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM and Nvidia Tegra K1 dual-core processor to 2.3GHz are the characteristics that make up the tablet. The price is 349 euros for the most basic model.
Both the Nexus as the Nexus 6 9 are the first devices to come natively equipped with the new version of the Google operating system, Android 5.0 “Lollipop”.
