Microsoft chairman says that women should not ask for increases – TVI24

The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, was on Thursday a meeting on technology and telecommunications and said that women should not ask for salary increase, but “have faith in the system.”

Nadella spoke at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing. ‘Not really ask for a raise is, but know and have faith that the system will actually give you the right to increase as you progress [in their work], “he said, quoted by Reuters.

President of IT giant added that not ask salary increase is a “good karma” for the boss to see that the employee is trustworthy and give you more responsibilities in the company.

But Nadella turned out to be ‘betrayed’ by technology. Their statements have spread through social networks like powder keg and critical lit up.

Nadalla has come to apologize via Twitter, but the criticism continued.

After apologizing on Twitter, Nadella sent an email to employees, which explains that answered ‘completely wrong’ to what was asked.

“I believe that men and women should receive equal pay for work equal. And when it comes to advice on how to get a raise when we think we deserve, the advice of Mary [Klawe] is the right advice. If you think you deserve a raise, you should just ask him, “reads the text subsequently published on the company website.

At Microsoft, about 29% of workers are women. />
