NASA announced the existence of water on Mars on 28 September, surprising the world but not of the Lost director on Mars, Ridley Scott. While promoting his new film, Scott said the North American agency you had confided the secret long before the official disclosure.
“I knew that for months,” he told Yahoo Movies, when the site referenced fabulous discovery.
“When I talked to NASA, discussed various subjects, and then I said to know that, ‘there they found signs of giant ice cream blocks,’” Scott told Yahoo Movies. “I said, ‘Yes, the giant white blocks [on Mars] covered in dust, we thought that this is ice.’ And I said, ‘Wow! That means there used to be an ocean? We know Mars today as it was some 750 million years ago?’ And then they said, ‘Uh, good question.’ Now they want to go out there and find out. ‘”
