Half-Life 3: Valve add malicious code to Dota 2 – IGN Portugal

A list of text files added to Dota 2 by Valve can suggest what will come with the long-awaited Half-Life 3.

The SteamDB site noticed a strange file called “hl3.txt” in the latest update to Dota 2 as well as other text files detailing the existence of quests, VR bracket, NPC teams among others.

However, if it is genuinely for a Half-Life 2 sequel still remains a mystery

Some of the lines of this code:.

  • “NPCs belonging to the same squad (ie have the same name). share information about enemies, and attack and defend their colleagues in shifts “
  • The phrases” VR Chaperone “and” VR Movement, “suggesting compatibly with Valve’s Lighthouse technology and Headset HTC lives.
  • “Missions citizens.”
  • “Combine Pulse Ceiling Turret”
  • Ziplines

It is difficult to see what those codes mean, but are given something compelling, a time were published by Valve itself. We can only hope.
