Now that Google has become Alphabet, the company decided to take to the letter the new name and bet on a URL that represents the new identity. In addition to own the rights of ABC.xyz address, Google also bought abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.com domain.
Once you have acquired the URL ABC.xyz in August, the search engine also decided to acquire the online domain that has the 26 letters of the alphabet.
The domain was created in 1999 and was private before being acquired by Google. It is unknown, however, how much the search engine paid to have a URL that matched the new company name.
“We realized that we escaped a few letters in abc.xyz, so we’re just being thorough,” said a company spokesman, in a statement.
However, when you click the URL at the moment, users are forwarded to an inactive page. The situation should change in the near future.
Despite the URL can be illustrative of the new identity Google, this is not an easy site to enter.
