It was not yet 18 o’clock and already the streets of Lisbon received hundreds of onlookers. Reason? The start of the 45th edition of Moda Lisboa, which presents the proposals of the Portuguese designers for spring / summer 2016.
New Blood, the inaugural parade held at Gale Patio, Terreiro do Paco, made known new talent. Band, Carolina Machado, Agnes and David Duvale Catalan were some of the new promises of national design to debut at the event. Among the jurors was Nuno Gama that tomorrow will present its proposals. “I loved being a juror is a seleçao with great quality, with extremely concise models, well-designed and objectives,” he said. Gama also said what fashion lovers expect from Lusiads Collection, take 2. “In the first edition there was a trip to the Cape of storms. And now, we’ll Africa, the Indian Ocean and Asia.”
This was followed by an event at the double, with collections Away to Mars and Catarina Oliveira. On the runway, was actor Pedro Barroso that tomorrow will again wear clothes made in Portugal, this time to Nuno Gama. The evening closed with Carlos Gil, who last week represented the Portuguese fashion, along with Miguel Vieira at Milan Fashion Week.
