An earthquake of magnitude 3.1 on the Richter scale was recorded today in the Azores, he informed the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 00:09 (01:09 in Lisbon), was located about six kilometers north of Santa Luzia, on the island of Pico.
“It was not received any information confirming that this earthquake has been felt” by the population, said the IPMA a brief statement
