GNR prepares speed control operation
“Operation Mercury” takes place across the country on tracks, where the offenses for speeding are more common.

In a statement the GNR remember that speeding is one of the main causes of serious road accidents in Portugal, with operations such as those Sunday are common.
Since the beginning of the year until Saturday were controlled more than four million vehicles (4,128,744), of which 86,380 were circulating over the speed limit, also said the GNR.
