Instagram and Pinterest will allow shopping through its … – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

The Instagram and Pinterest will now include shopping buttons or subscription services through its applications. With new features, social networks throw themselves on the e-commerce market and provide new tools to advertisers.

The social network Instagram, which has more than 300 million users, and since October 2013 integrates sponsored publications, will now include new buttons (below the images), which will allow buy, install or endorse a product or service, reveals the Tech Crunch.

The news does not end here, Instagram will benefit from greater integration into Facebook’s advertising tool and its database, which will allow thinning ” targeting “demographic. If it was possible to Instagram advertisers set a target audience based on location, gender and age of the audience, it is now also possible to target advertising based on what the user follows on Instagram or does “like” on Facebook.

So, sponsored publications will now have a buy button that will allow the user to purchase the product directly through the application.

Ben Silbermann, CEO of the company, quoted by the Financial Times, announced on 2 June that more than 2 million products will be available for purchase in the US through the iPhone or iPad, later this month. Is scheduled for a second phase to expand the service to devices with Android system.
