It was probably the greatest achievement of man. The Apollo Program, also known as Project Apollo, was a series of space missions coordinated by NASA (space agency of the United States) between 1961 and 1972 in order to put men on the moon. The project culminated in the landing of Apollo 11 in lunar surface on July 20, 1969.

Now, 46 years later, the US space agency has been providing more 8,400 photographs that are a tribute to the courage of the Terrans.

They are important documents for anyone who is passionate about space. NASA has released thousands of images shot by the Apollo astronauts on lunar missions. They are housed in the Apollo Project Flickr account service. More than 8,400 photos at full resolution captured at the time, these images are with 1800 dpi and are classified by the roll name of the movie

.

also the space agency released the Apollo Project file also on Facebook. You can view historical imagery, never disclosed, some even very rare, for example, related to Apollo’s crew training 11.

There are images of the crew on the ground, there are images of the departure of the astronauts, there are images the Apollo spacecraft, images of the moon and its many craters and Earth images seen from the moon. Great pictures captured by the famous Hasselblad cameras.

Take an hour to see some of these fantastic images, as they are the first step of man on the ground outside the planet Earth. There are many fantastic things to see
