Nine fires recorded by the Civil Protection – RTP

Miguel Cruz, deputy of the National Civil Protection, takes stock of the situation in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The most worrying situations occur in areas of high relief, a situation that causes increased difficulties to firefighters.

The fire in Vila Nova de Cerveira, which began three days ago, has 391 operating on the ground backed by 126 vehicles.

In Gouveia, there is another situation that worries the authorities. In fighting this fire, which began on Monday, 196 are operating.

Already in Arouca, in Aveiro District, the fire is being fought by 187 operational and has two active fronts.
