The brother of José Dirceu, also arrested under the anti-corruption investigations shaking Brazil, was held in Lisbon four years ago with Ricardo Salgado, at the time were under way two important and sensitive business involving the two countries:. the sale by PT, 50% of Vivo to Telefónica and the cross-shareholdings between the PT and the Hi As chairman of BES, Salgado had a say (and strong influence ) of PT’s strategy, a company in which the bank was a shareholder.
The news is told today by the Public newspaper. The newspaper explains that Luiz Eduardo Oliveira e Silva (brother of Dirceu, who was number two of Lula da Silva) provides consulting and services was in that capacity that came to Lisbon in November 2011. The newspaper says not known the content of the conversation, but adds that the meeting was coordinated by a law firm Portuguese and another company with strong links to the world of politics and major public affairs.
The company Oliveira e Silva has since been identified by Brazilian judicial authorities as suspected of being an intermediary in illicit payments to third parties, charging fees for large transactions within the Pixuleco operation, the new phase of the controversial research Lava jet.
