Bubble found suggests life on Mars – CenárioMT – The setting of the news in Mato Grosso

A bubble full of clay found in a meteorite that fell in Egypt in 1911, suggests that there was once life on Mars. The research was published on Thursday (21) in the journal Astrobiology.

The Nakhla meteorite broke free of the Martian surface 1.3 billion years ago and ended up on Earth. It indicates the presence of liquid water favors development of life. The Curiosity, NASA’s probe found the same evidence in clay minerals discovered on the Red Planet.

The new study results depend on the bubble, filled with clay, rich in iron, which is oval in shape and resembles If the effect of fossil bacteria.

In 2006, a study reported that microscopic tunnels in the Nakhla meteorite mimic the size and shape of tunnels left by bacteria in Earth rocks. There are strong indications that the features found in the meteorite have been formed before the material come off the surface of Mars.
