Both V Metal Gear episodes are coming to PC – Teciber

Hideo Kojima of Konami confirmed fame during Gamescom that the two episodes of Metal Gear Solid V, The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes, will be released on PC via Steam at some indeterminate time in the future.

The first game to come to PC is Ground Zeroes, which debuted on the PlayStation and Xbox earlier this year. The short game is a stealth-action prologue to the events in The Phantom Pain, which itself is defined in the first part of the Metal Gear timeline.

The Phantom Pain is much larger and the main title Metal Gear Solid V, set to be released in early 2015 on both consoles and Sony PlayStation current and last generation.

The game will be powered by cross-platform Kojima Productions Fox Engine, which should be excellent PC based on what we’ve seen on consoles so far.

Metal Gear games have traditionally been released on the PlayStation and other platforms before, with numerous titles in the series never managed a release for PC. The last Metal Gear game for PC was Metal Gear Rising:. Revengeance, launched last January on Steam, just under a year after its launch in console

After Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots that was exclusive to PlayStation 3, it’s great to see the series go to various platforms again.
