And if the ambient sound recarregasse the battery of your smartphone? – PT Journal

‘Silence. The battery in your smartphone is already recharged ‘. One day this sentence makes sense when the prototype of a mechanism that uses sound to replace the battery level mobile phone is marketed. For now, the project researchers from Queen Mary University of London, in partnership with Nokia arouses great curiosity … But the sound will be able to definitively bury the chargers? Probably not.

In the near future it may be possible to recharge a smartphone through the sound system, while sitting in a cafe, or a football stadium, a local rowdy nature.

Thanks to a project crientistas the University of Queen Mary, with the support of Nokia, the idea was transported to a prototype, which may soon be transported to the reality.

This system recharging of mobile phone batteries and works through vibrations of the sound, dispensing, obviously, the charger and, above all, the electric current.

The replacement of the battery charge is done through an accumulator, using the zinc oxide and their piezoelectric properties (electrical phenomena by the pressure on the bodies).

Speaking to Mashable, Joe Briscoe, investigator that institution of Queen Mary, also points out that charging via the sound “may increase the autonomy of the batteries” of smartphone or other electronic devices.

And as a friend of the environment science is more likely to be welcomed, this innovative system – which for now is just a prototype – has all the chances to avenge

.

But the sound will be able to definitively bury the chargers? Probably not. Only if this mechanism move towards capture more sound energy – current levels are not enough
