An iPhone with OLED screen? Rumors say yes, but also say that it will not be soon. According to Reuters, Apple is about to close a deal with Samsung and LG for the two companies to produce screens.
The panels made with organic diodes light emitting (OLED) are superior in picture quality to screens used today. High-definition, high contrast and playing very faithful colors, especially black that helps you create images with greater depth, are the main features to highlight.
A OLED technology also allows you to create much thinner screens, something that fits the philosophy of Apple to make the iPhone more and more ‘elegant’. For example, LG created a 55-inch TV that is 0.96 mm thick.
Still on the LG recently announced that technological strengthen their production lines in segment of OLED screens, in an investment of eight billion dollars.
Also according to the reports now advanced, Apple should comparticipar part of the investment that Samsung and LG are doing in their OLED factories.
