At the end of
2015 Apple posted several areas related to the automotive industry, thus giving confirmation that also plans to invest in new market for cars “driverless”.
As reported by MacRumors site, Apple established the record the fields apple.car, apple.cars and apple.auto. All three domains were registered during the month of December and can be confirmed through the site whois.domaintools.com .
A number of rumors over the past few months indicate that Apple has hundreds of employees to work in Project Titan , also highlighting the fact that the apple giant has hired several experts from the automotive industry.
Despite all the excitement generated from the registry these areas, we must not forget that they may be related to Apple’s other products related to the automotive market such as Apple CarPlay.
As for Google, its secrecy around the development of a car without driver was not much, never having hidden their goals and ambitions. After having made public the progress in registration of domains from Apple, on January 7 were recorded google.car the fields and google.auto.
