Fruit Ninja: New Line reaches agreement for the adaptation of game to movie – IGN Portugal

New Line Cinema has secured the film rights to the popular franchise’s mobile Haflbrick Studios, Fruit Ninja.

according to the Hollywood Reporter, the producer Tripp Vinson, of Vinson Films, you will meet again with the New Line for the project, which will tell the story of a group of misfits that become the Fruit ninjas in the hope of saving the world. Vinson and New Line worked together in several films in the past, which highlights the drama of 2015, San Andreas.

Reports about the project began to emerge in the beginning of the year, confirming that J. P. Lavin and Chad Damiani, the pair who wrote the adaptation of How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack, you will be responsible for the script. More still, by that time, the project was described as a family comedy live-action series, which “focuses on ninjas with an inexplicable desire for revenge.”

Vinson Films will produce the film in partnership with the production company responsible for the development of Fruit Ninja, Halfbrick Studios. Tara Farney and Sam White are the executive producers.
