Ana Mendes Godinho: “The impact of Brexit was zero” on the Portuguese tourism – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

The secretary of State for Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho, stated that the “impact of Brexit was zero”. The statements were given on Thursday, September 22, the agency Bloomberg.

Ana Mendes Godinho drops as soon as the british tourists have been impacted by the devaluation of the pound and believe that the same should remain as the main foreign visitors to Portugal, even after the United Kingdom to formalize their departure from the European Union.

“The british market is growing. Portugal and the United Kingdom have an alliance too strong for several years. The Brexit will not change this relation”, stressed the responsible.

Already this Friday, September 23, Ana Mendes Godinho was in the Alentejo to announce a package of six million euros, with rows of support for the tourism that is inclusive and installation of wireless internet in the historic centres of Portuguese cities.
