José Cid at the Colosseum, between Venus and Mars – Público.pt

In April, 10000 Years Later Between Venus and Mars , the progressive rock album that José Cid published in 1978 and which became the subject of growing cult over the years, was presented at Class Magna and Customs Port. Seven months later, the couple’s story in interstellar travel, escaping to a world destroyed by war and pollution, about to be told.

10000 Years Later Between Venus and Mars will appear at the Lisbon Coliseum in Lisbon on Saturday. Not only. The concert will serve to revisit one facet of a musician who became celebrated composer with works created in the Quartet in 1111, which was subsequently popular star of the Song Festival, and radio and TV, as one would say in the 1980s with singles as My Music . On the other hand we see the Colosseum, the conceptualist Joseph Cid immersed in and inspired by the ambition of progressive and symphonic rock. 10000 Years Later Between Venus and Mars has been your greatest achievement in this area. But there was also, for example, its predecessor Where When Why How – sang Alive , and there Voices from Beyond , a new step in progressive that we will know in the future.

As attractive supplement to the concert, the promise that it will be attended by Ramon Galarza, Zé Nabo and Mike Sargeant, the musicians who originally recorded the album entered arises.

In April, José Cid Epsilon told the whole story of his historic album. You can read it by following the link provided on this page.

The concert at the Coliseum is scheduled to start at 22pm. Tickets cost between € 20 and € 30.
