Five districts of the north coast under yellow warning – Record

The Portuguese Institute of Ocean and Atmosphere (IPMA) has put a yellow warning five districts of the north coast due to forecast periods of rain or showers at times strong.

According to the information available on the site, the districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga will be under yellow warning between 10 am and 21 pm Saturday.

The yellow warning is the second most severe of a range of four and recommends attention to situations of risk for certain activities depending on the weather situation.

For now, the Portuguese Institute of Ocean and Atmosphere (IPMA) provides periods of cloudy weather in the northern region, with the cloudy present itself until midmorning. Are still expected downpours, which decrease in intensity and frequency from the early morning.

The wind will blow weak to moderate (10-30 km / h) in the western quarter, blowing moderate to strong (30-40 km / h) in the highlands until midmorning.

For the central and southern regions, the IPMA expect mainly cloudy skies, decreasing cloudiness in the afternoon from the central region and in Alentejo. Periods of rain are expected, gradually passing the regime of weak and infrequent downpours from mid-morning.

The wind will blow weak to moderate (10-25 km / h) from the southwest, rising to moderate to strong (30-40 km / h) in the highlands until midmorning and gradually turning to northwest. According to IPMA, the minimum temperatures can observe a rise.

As the maximum will be around 21 degrees celsius in Faro, the hottest city in the country, 20 in Sagres, 19 in Beja, Santa Cruz and Angra do Heroismo, 18 in Lisbon, Evora, Sines and Leiria . In the center and north of 17 degrees maximum is expected in Coimbra, Porto and Braga, 16 in Portalegre and Castelo Branco, 12 and 10 in Braganca in the Guard.
