Leonardo Jardim renews – Monaco announced on Tuesday a contract extension with Leonardo Jardim, Portuguese coach who is now linked to the Principality club until June 2019.
“I am pleased to stay longer in Monaco, this renewal is a sign of confidence of club officers. We have worked hard this year to put this new project in place and I am convinced that the best is yet to come. There are many quality young this team and we need to continue to work on top of that we built this season. The club is ambitious, I also, “said Leonardo Jardim in remarks to the official channels of the club.
Vadim Vasilyev, owner of Monaco, said the focus on continuity of Madeira coach: “This is an important step for the club. We expect further growth with Leonardo Jardim who along with his technical team has done an excellent job and achieved very good results in the league and in the Champions League. We are convinced that Leonardo is the coach who fits our philosophy to lead the club to a panorama greater national and international level. ”
Leonardo Jardim, 40, arrived in Monaco at the start of the season from Sporting and, despite some setbacks, as the outputs of Falcao and James Rodriguez managed to take the team to the quarter finals of the Champions League. In the French championship, two games to go, it’s struggling to keep third place giving access to the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions.
