Status gives the 1500 police green light for early retirement – Daily News – Lisbon

With the new professional status of PSP, approved yesterday by the Cabinet, all the police officers with 55 years of age and 36 years of service may apply for early retirement. The DN confirmed that there are 1500 agents in a position to do so, ie 10% of operating effective of 15,000 men (there are eight thousand other functions). Of these, 750 have filed the request for more than two years. In the pre-reform just lose a shift premium and the meal (total 200 euros).
