Apple admits flaw in iPhone camera 6 Plus and ensures replacement

Apple has detected a failure in iSight cameras installed on iPhones 6 Plus that lets blurred photos. The technology giant says only a series of mobile phones has been affected and that only the iPhone 6 Plus purchased between September 2014 and January 2015 may have this defect.

Some iPhone 6 Plus mobile phones may have a defect in iSight camera that blurs the photos, according to an official statement released by Apple on its website. The company offers free replacement of defective cameras in Apple Stores.

Apple acknowledged flaws in the rear chamber of the iPhone 6 Plus that makes the photos look blurry. According to the Spanish newspaper El País this failure is due to a manufacturing defect. The defect affects the iSight camera and not the front camera of smartphones.

By this failure affected units are within a set of manufacturing numbers, but the statement issued by the company on its website does not reveal which the affected serial numbers, limiting himself to saying that this failure may occur in the iPhone 6 Plus sold between September 2014 and January 2015.
