Thousands of refugees are heading to the European Union – More than six thousand refugees, most of whom Syrians fleeing the civil war, are since Sunday, going through Macedonia and Serbia towards the European Union.
The Macedonian police decided to open the border on Saturday night after the refugees have tried to force the border barriers
As president of the Red Cross of Presevo, Serbia, Amet Alimi, quoted by AFP, the UN organization for Refugees (UNHCR) has eight tents in the border village of miratovac, in southern Serbia, providing food and shelter to thousands of refugees crossing the border.
