                         Fair St. Bartholomew gives new life to the castle – Fort St John the Baptist, in Foz do Porto, returns to the stage by 30 August, another event that promises to enliven that part of town .
 
 The Fair of St. Bartholomew (until last year known as Handicraft Fair) started this Thursday, within that monument – other times the show stemmed next door at Alegre Ride Garden.
 
 The fair, whose entrance is, this year, free of charge, has several attractions, from crafts to gastronomy and cultural and musical shows: fado, folk, samba, rock or electronic make up the varied menu.
 
 The strong doors, also popularly known as Castle da Foz, will be open until the 30th, 12 hours daily, ie from 11 to 23.
 
 In terms of craft, after all the origin of this fair which will at the 24th, organized by the Union of parishes of Aldoar, Foz do Douro and Nevogilde, you can admire and purchase works of several craftsmen, traditional and modernist, from jewelery , jewelry and decoration.
 
 But the initiatives are not limited only to the fair.
 
 The Feasts of St. Bartholomew 2015 has kicked off with the I Festival preserves the Castle (held on 9 and 12 July in Fort St. John the Baptist) and will continue: next Sunday (10 hours), for example, also encompassed in the program there will be the procession of Paper Costume this year under the aegis of the 600 anniversary of the conquest of Ceuta and Epic of Discovery.
