Google’s modular phone after only comes in 2016 – SAPO Tek

On Twitter, where he had already confirmed that the pilot would not happen in Puerto Rico as had been announced earlier this year, the project development team is now admit that the modular phone will not come so soon to the market and to give some detail, although few. It explained that development turned out to be more complex than originally planned, with more iterations than expected, which ultimately delay development.

It also informs that the new location for the pilot will be found somewhere within the United States and moves away any chance of the modular smartphone hit the market later in 2015, as the company had predicted earlier this year when it came to enumerate some of the modules that had launched in the coming months. There were among 20 to 30 modules, such as a battery of high density or a camera of 13 megapixels.
Ara Project is an “inheritance” that Google preserved Motorola and has the ambition to create a modular phone, which gives the user the option to build custom equipment choosing components such as display, memory or camera and can change them at any time.

To 2016 is promised a pilot. The question is whether to confirm it and to be followed by a commercial launch. Some critics already guarantee no and argue that Ara is in the same “bag” Google+: the project doomed to failure.
Until we know what will happen then see the video and concept images.
