The Judiciary Police (PJ) today announced the identification of a boy of 11 years suspected of authoring a forest fire occurred on Friday in Silvares, Fundão municipality , Castelo Branco district.
In a statement sent to the Lusa agency, PJ says that the child is suspected of having kindled the fire using a lighter, a land with abundant dry and undergrowth near a house and a forest area of pine trees and some eucalyptus trees.
The research, by the Department of Criminal Investigation of PJ Guard, could not establish “any rational motivation or plausible explanation” for attitude of the boy, said
