Six districts of Portugal under yellow warning because of increased temperature – publico

                 

                         
                     

                 

 
                         

The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) put on Friday under yellow warning for Saturday and Sunday six continental Portugal districts due to the increase in the maximum temperature.

                     

                         The districts of Vila Real, Bragança, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Portalegre and Evora will be under yellow warning between 11am on Saturday and 21h on Sunday.

The archipelago, according to the IPMA also will be under yellow warning up to 21h Sunday due to the waiting rise in temperature.

The Civil Protection has also launched a forest fire danger warning and counseling care to vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly.

The increase in the maximum temperature, lowering humidity and wind conditions led the National Civil Protection Authority warned of the risk of fire, especially in the interior regions and the south of the country.

According to meteorologist IPMA, Maria João Frada, the end-of-week will be marked by good weather with maximum temperatures reach the 35 degree Celsius.

Despite the good weather, Maria João Frada indicated that there is a strong chance of showers and thunderstorms occur in the northern regions inside and center, but without lowering the temperature.
