Number of students with special educational needs has increased 73.5% since 2010 – Digital Journal

Figures released by the General Directorate of Education and Science of Statistics (DGEEC) show that the number of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) increased by 73.5% since 2010.
 
 
 
 

According to news Thursday Público, who had access to the data in 2010 were 45,395 students identified with special needs, whereas this year the number has already reached 78,763.

The daily recalls that it is considered that a student has Special Educational Needs (SEN) when it reveals difficulties in the learning process, requiring attention and monitoring by entities of special education.
