Union UGT strike to mark May 1 in hyper and … – Digital Journal

“The SITESE submitted a strike notice to allow all workers under the same conditions, enjoying holiday that is all, as they see fit,” says the union, affiliated to the UGT, in a statement.

In the notice of strike, SITESE still moved the protest with the need to tackle insecurity in the sector and the attempt to reduce wages and rights by employers.

The Union of Trade and Services (CESP), affiliated to the CGTP, decided on Tuesday to mark May Day strike 01 for hypermarkets and supermarkets in defense of salary increases and improved working conditions.

The degradation of working conditions, increasing demands on business and the wage freeze for the last five years are, according to the CESP, the main reasons that led to the marking of the strike.
