Humanoid robot is rececionista store in Japan – Journal News

From this Monday, the rececionistas the planet have new competition. Was presented in Tokyo one aspect of humanoid robot rececionista smiling, welcomes guests and even sings to entertain.

This invention is called Aico Chihira, a relatively common name in Japan, and serves as a rececionista Tokyo superstore. It was created by Toshiba and is so like an ordinary person who confuses even the most distracted.

With a skin that rivals human, gentle movements and (almost) natural and impeccably dressed in a traditional kimono, this new employee is always with a smile and never gets bored with the formal requirements of the customers. Even so, this android still can not answer questions, but merely repeat a series of pre-recorded phrases and smile.

Aico Chihira had already been presented by Toshiba a technology fair last year, but just started to interact with the public. “We are working to create a robot that gradually can do what a human does,” says an expert of the company, quoted by the Japan Times. “This is a great opportunity to realize that role may have a humanoid in this type of environment,” he added.

The rececionista robot will be in store until Tuesday and then must follow travel all over Japan, where he will participate in several events.
